They're are extremely intelligent, active, loyal dogs! They're a herding breed and will have traits that resemble that, including nipping and being very velcro to their owners. Some can be naturally suspicious of strangers, but super friendly with family and children. Some can be same-sex or even fowl aggressive!

They will test an inexperienced owner on what they can get away with, which is why it's very important to start training quickly before any bad behaviors erupt! We highly recommend new owners of the breed to take puppy socialization classes, and begin training classes available in your area!
